Im not sure I like the new Rich Snippets

My first reaction was really mixed and overall, negative because I see Google making an attempt to become an aggregator which oversteps the bounds of straightforward search. With the example that Google shows for Yelp , which would apply to any catalog or review site, rich snippets give searchers far too much info at the level of the SERP.

The searcher may spend a little more time on Google skipping thru lists now that ratings are available and less time on respective internet sites.

Now add to this eventuality that many sites permit Google to display their cache pages and the review site itself can simply become utterly cut out of the method with Google being the entire content supplier. Plenty will disagree rich snippets are excellent for the searcher but not when it finally ends up in less content to search as more sites are squished into Chapter 11 by such rapacious assembly. If you have got to use microformats, cloak them to the SEs only and let your visitors see the info without all of the identification tags.

Some cheap flights coming up

Tiger Airways has just added some new routes to their Australian coverage. Want to catch the deals before they are all gone? Just enter a Flight Alert on this Cheap Airfares site.

The same site also caters for the international crowd, with Flights to London and (a bit cheaper) Flights to Auckland.

See you on the plane :)
